William's work revolves around social issues and humanitarian concerns mostly focusing on isolated or weakened communities. It is destined to press, book publishing and exhibition.He began his carrier by photographing street children in the Philippines. This work was awarded the Social and Documentary Photography Prize. The following year, he was commissioned by the Museum of Natural History in Lyon to photograph the Madagascan community and carry out an exhibition.In 2007, he won the Lagardere Foundation grant to shoot the feature Faded Tulips, a social and political portrait of Kyrgyzstan a few years after the Tulips revolution. This story, screened at Visa festival in 2009, will be published in a book by early 2010. His long-term work on malaria, Mauvais Air, was exhibited on the Pont des Arts Bridge in Paris in 2008 and has been recognized with several awards including 3rd Prize in the World Press Photo and 1st Prize in the Picture of the Year. It was also screened on the opening night - Christian Caujolle selection - of Angkor photography festival and is now published in France in the book Mauvais air. His photographs appear regularly in the French and international press: Le Monde 2, Newsweeek, La Repubblica... and he collaborates with organizations such as Open society Insitute, The Global Fund. William is 32 years old and based in Paris.
